Our Philosophy

We create objects meant to endure — in both form and feeling. Yet we understand that sometimes, despite the finest craftsmanship, a piece may not find its place in your home. Our return policy is designed with the same transparency and care that guides every aspect of Ecomlyra.

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. If more than 30 days have passed, please contact us — we believe in fairness beyond rigid timelines.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it:

  • Unused and unwashed — in its original packaging
  • With all tags attached — just as it arrived
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase — your order number or email confirmation

We reserve the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear, damage, or alteration.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain goods cannot be returned due to their nature:

  • Candles — for hygiene and safety
  • Final sale items — clearly marked at checkout
  • Gift cards — non-refundable by law

How to Initiate a Return

We strive to make the returns process as considered as your initial order:

  • Contact us — email help@ecomlyra.com with your order number and reason for return
  • Receive authorization — we will provide a return shipping label and detailed instructions
  • Package with care — please secure your item as it was sent to you
  • Ship within 7 days — of receiving your return authorization

Shipping Costs

For returns due to defect or our error: We will provide a prepaid shipping label at no cost to you.

For change of mind: The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. We recommend using the label we provide — insured and tracked — to ensure your item reaches us safely.

Original shipping charges: Are non-refundable unless the return is a result of our error.

Inspection & Processing

Upon arrival, each return is handled with the same attention we give to outgoing orders. Please allow 5–7 business days for:

  • Thorough inspection of the item
  • Processing of your refund to the original payment method
  • Confirmation via email

You will be notified at every stage of the process.

Refund Timelines

Once processed, refunds typically appear within:

  • Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days (dependent on your financial institution)
  • PayPal: 2–3 business days
  • Shop Pay: 3–5 business days

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund confirmation, please contact us.

Exchanges

Should you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or design, the most efficient path is to:

  • Return the original item following our process above
  • Place a new order for your desired piece

This ensures your replacement arrives without delay. We are happy to assist you through every step.

Damaged or Defective Items

Though we inspect each piece before it departs our studio, rare imperfections may occur. If your order arrives damaged or defective:

  • Photograph — please document the issue within 48 hours of delivery
  • Contact us immediately — we will prioritize your case
  • Choose your resolution — full refund, replacement, or store credit

We take great care in our craftsmanship, and we will make things right.

International Returns

For orders shipped outside the United States, please contact us directly. International return shipping costs vary and are typically the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error. We will guide you through the most suitable arrangement.

Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive store credit for the value of your return. If the gift was shipped to the purchaser first and later given to you, the original purchaser will receive the refund.

We are happy to coordinate with both parties to ensure a gracious resolution.
